Coarse Screen for Paper Mill Machinery

The PrimeScreen X40 coarse screen is designed for primary coarse screening in pulp preparation. In a paper mill machine, this unit receives pulp suspension under pressure at the top inlet. A stationary screen basket separates the flow into two streams: accept passes through the cylinder while reject containing impurities and fiber bundles exits at the bottom.

The rotor’s foil‑induced pressure pulses keep the screen surface open, ensuring continuous operation. This pulp and paper machinery delivers a screening area of 2.09 square meters with a slot width of 0.40 mm, providing high‑efficiency separation for writing paper, newsprint, or packaging grades. The design pressure is 6.0 bar and maximum working pressure is 4.0 bar, with a nominal pressure difference of 0 to 0.5 bar. The screen housing has inlet, accept, reject, and reject dilution connections with flange drillings according to DIN2642. All parts in contact with stock are made of stainless steel EN 1.4404 or AISI316L, ensuring corrosion resistance and long service life.

The main motor delivers 132 kW nominal power at 1500 rpm, 50 Hz, with IP54 protection, mounted on a carbon steel stand with painted finish. A double‑side mechanical shaft seal from Safematic is included, together with sealing water equipment featuring flow adjustment, indication, and low‑flow alarm monitoring. The rotor is balanced, and transmission includes two carbon steel V‑belt pulleys plus one set of V‑belts with guards. A profiled screen cylinder with stainless steel flanges and support rings is supplied. Foundation threaded bars, bolts, carbon steel plates, and lifting eyes are also part of the delivery. This paper manufacturing machine component is designed for easy maintenance and high uptime.
