Pressure Screen for Pulp Screening and Cleaning System

Prior to starting the Pressure Screen, a series of specific checks and priming steps must be meticulously followed to ensure optimal and safe operation. First, manually rotate the rotor to confirm it moves freely and verify the motor’s rotation direction. Next, open the seal water and vent valves while keeping the stock inlet valve closed. Then, open the dilution water valve to fill the Pressure Screen until water flows from the vent, at which point the vent valve is closed.

Only after completing these steps should the main motor and stock pump be started, initially running with water instead of pulp. Finally, open the inlet and accept stock valves, slightly open the vent valve, and monitor the system for stable operation. During the initial two-hour no-fault run, it is crucial to adjust instruments, observe current and temperature changes, and check the Pressure Screen for any abnormal vibration.

Key operating parameters of Pressure Screen:

Inlet Stock Pressure: Operates within a range of 0.1 to 0.25 MPa.

Operating Pressure Differential: Maintains a differential of 0.01 to 0.03 MPa across the screen.

Reject Rate: Typically ranges from 6% to 15% of the total inlet stock flow.

Mechanical Seal Water: Requires a pressure that is 0.1 MPa higher than the inlet stock pressure, with a flow rate of 1 to 3 L/min.
