High-Performance Dryer Cylinder Device for Paper Mill Machine

The dryer cylinder device is a critical component in the drying section of any paper mill machine. It removes moisture from the paper web by transferring heat through its shell as the web passes over the cylinder surface. A properly designed dryer cylinder device ensures high drying efficiency, consistent final sheet dryness, and prevents defects such as wrinkles or uneven moisture profiles. In a paper production line, multiple dryer cylinders work in sequence to raise the sheet dryness from press exit levels of about 48 percent to a target of 92 percent or higher.

Our dryer cylinder device is engineered with a resin sand cast HT300 iron body, 30 mm wall thickness, and a surface hardness exceeding HB200, guaranteeing excellent thermal conductivity and long‑term wear resistance. The cylinder is tempered to relieve internal stresses, and its working steam pressure is rated at 0.5 MPa with a hydrostatic test pressure of 1.0 MPa for safety. The external cylindrical grinding achieves a roughness of 0.8 μm, while internal machining gives 12.5 μm for efficient condensate removal. This paper industry machinery component includes a stainless steel steam insulation jacket, a rotary steam joint, a siphon pipe, and 304 stainless steel turbulence bars, along with a 3 mm PTFE manhole gasket. The shaft ends are CNC machined with a 1:12 taper and equipped with hydraulic push‑out oil holes for easy bearing removal. Bearings are domestic 23144CK/W33C4 and 23148CK/W33, with a sliding plate structure on the operating side for smooth axial expansion. The dryer cylinder device is dynamically balanced to G2.5 grade and uses thin oil lubrication for continuous, reliable operation.
