The paper back to wet is also affected by the fine wool fibers on the felt surface. Therefore, the capillary diameter of the paper machine felt should be close to the capillary size of the pressed wet paper. In order to meet this requirement, felt with flat fine hair, uniform wool felt is appropriate. The wet paper begins to expand when the press pressure is lifted, and the moisture can be absorbed from the carpet.
Using a uniform felt can also help to reduce paper back to wet. In the case of other conditions, the paper machine uses a felt with fine felt, and the moisture content is only about 5g/m². If the rough felt is adopted, the moisture content can be as much as 15~20g/m².
